JUNE CONNOISSEUR CLUB
May 31, 2012
Unbelievable but it is summer officially. I have been looking around for something unique this month for the Connoisseur Club but was faced with the overpriced Bordeaux, the Bordeaux owed Argentine estate, or the wine maker for a second cru Bordeaux sharing his wares in Australia.
Nothing exciting, good, but not exciting.
Peter Titis my very best salesman from the Hammer Company called and asked if I would be interested in single vineyard Cakebread cabernets? He had 24 bottles to sell. I bought 'em...
as they are a once every five year allocation.
So we are offering Cakebread single vineyard Cabernets, either the Vinehill Ranch selection or the Dancing Bear Vineyards. Both are highly rated and virtually unavailable.
These are not wines to open tonight.
These are wines to lay down for another 5-8 years.
But when you open them they will be SPECTACULAR !
